Features

COCKPIT AND AFT DECK

Somewhere Hot can be easily boarded from a floating dock via swim platform with simple walkthrough access to the cockpit. There is a great deal of functional storage under the deck with a hatch and lazarette access. The cockpit offers a great deal of versatility and makes life a whole lot easier for boarding tenders and water toys. Perfect for fishing, grilling out or easy line handling the cockpit is truly a great feature. Just a few steps up will bring us to another major area for relaxation, the aft deck. The aft deck is unique and highly customized. The overhead has been extended 32 inches to allow for better weather and sun protection. Sliding and removable windows were added for maximum versatility. Highlights and features include:

  • Bench style seating with storage below
  • Upgraded soft goods
  • Full walk around side decks
  • Wet bar, Sink and U-line icemaker
  • Fold out table for cocktails or al fresco dining
  • Upgraded Stainless steel tubing ladder and steps
  • Removable sliding side windows
  • Double doors open to salon to form one entertainment area

MAIN SALON

Just forward of the aft deck, two double doors open up to reveal the re fit main salon. Tastefully redecorated she has upgraded carpeting, soft goods and furniture. Her full walk around side decks offer boarding amidships directly into the salon. She does not have a lower helm, so there is no wasted space from an outdated low visibility lower station. Instead the salon is extended forward offering way more room and increased livability. To port there is a large pull out sofa and coffee table. To starboard there are two comfortable chairs. Stbd aft there is a little workstation/desk. All Audio-visual components have been upgraded including a custom large flat screen TV fwd in the salon. The TV is hinged and can be opened up to reveal the custom audio-visual component center. All salon overhead lighting has been upgraded to LED with a custom removable headliner for wiring access.

GALLEY

Continuing fwd from the mail salon will bring us down a flight of stairs to the lower galley. The galley, much like the rest of Somewhere Hot has been very nicely upgraded. She features:

  • Fisher Pakel stainless steel refrigerator
  • Ample storage
  • Natural light from side windows
  • Rich dark wood
  • Samsung dishwasher
  • Microwave/convection oven
  • GE 4 burner Flat glass cook top with custom cutting board top

    Corian sink and dining table

FORWARD STATEROOM

Just forward of the galley is the private forward stateroom. Privacy and versitility are key with this room suitable for guests or crew. There are large Bunk beds to stbd and an en suite head. This is a full head with a stall shower. (On older 58 models this was a wet head with no shower stall.) There are also laundry facilities here with an updated Whirlpool washer and dryer stacked unit.

ENGINE ROOM

If we go back through the galley and continue aft we have a classic Hatteras split engine room arrangement. Each respective engine room compartment houses a 8 71 TI Detroit Diesel marine engine. The owner reports in 2004 the starboard engine was overhauled and has approx. 860 hours. The port engine is reported by owner to have 3000 original hours with turbo and injectors done approx. 2 years ago. All 3 air conditioning units have been updated. Somewhere Hot has a variable power transformer that protects the vessel’s electrical components from voltage inconsistencies. She runs off of a 32V system, has recent house batteries as well as a recent 12V Generator battery.

MASTER STATEROOM

Continuing aft down the companionway will lead us to the CUSTOM layout of the master stateroom. The 58 Yacht Fish prior to 1978 featured 2 separate berths in the master. Fortunately, the layout of Somewhere Hot features a large island queen berth fitting for a master stateroom. Alternate layouts also had a tiny bunk bed stateroom adjacent to the master. The custom layout of Somewhere Hot eliminates this useless bunk room and incorporates this space into the master adding to its overall square footage, storage and livability. Some other noteworthy highlights include:

  • Manually adjustable air mattress
  • Remodeled with spacious closets and storage drawers
  • Remodeled en suite head
  • Stand up stall shower and new vanity cabinets

HELM- UPPER BRIDGE

A ladder from the aft deck brings up to the spacious fly bridge. Like the rest of Somewhere Hot she has enjoyed many upgrades and customizations. Twin STIDD helm chairs make for a comfortable place to navigate from. Visibility at the helm is good with a full complement of upgraded GARMIN electronics. There is additional bench seating fwd of the helm for passengers. Some of her features include:

  • Garmin 7212 touch screen with HD radar
  • Garmin 740 as back-up nav unit
  • Robertson AP300x upgrade
  • VHF radio
  • Compass
  • Wireless repeater
  • FLO scan rmp and fuel burn gauges
  • 2015 new shift cables
  • Custom hardtop
  • Updated Isinglass on bridge.
  • Davit on aft bridge with tender storage (no tender included)
