This 1973 Hatteras 58 Yacht Fisherman is powered by Detroit Diesels 8V-71 which cruise at around 17 knots. One has been rebuilt and both are in great running condition.RECENT UPGRADESVessel managed for the past 13 years by owner’s company. Owner took possession in 2017 and has restored and upgraded the vessel. The bottom was in good shape but was stripped and epoxy barrier coated in 2018. Full hull and topside Awlgrip painted in 2018-2019. Bottom paint was redone and all cutlass bearings were replaced in 2022.  The shafts and props were inspected in 2022. New cushions and some new upholstery in 2024. The 32V have all been converted to 24V. All thru-hulls, sea cocks, strainers were replaced. All bonding wire throughout and stainless hose clamps replaced in 2022.  Four new 4D batteries 2025, 2 new chargers, 3 new electric toilets, new ideal windless and one new AC system. New stainless fridge and stove. In total there are 3 AC units, the 2 downstairs work, the one upstairs does not blow cold air and may be repairable. Owner in the marine business and available for local support or upgrades. Comfortable live aboard and very sea worthy vessel.The Hatteras 58 Yacht Fisherman is essentially a 53 Motor Yacht with the addition of a 5-foot cockpit extension. She was introduced in 1970, just a year after the Hatteras 53 MY was launched, and she enjoyed a long and very successful production run during the next twelve years. The 58's cockpit makes her a more versatile and better handling boat than the 53 MY, and the additional fuel capacity results in a greater causing range. Belowdecks, there is a three-stateroom, galley-down floorplan which is the same as the 53MY with the helm open to the salon and separate walk-in engine rooms. The Aft deck is sheltered by a bridge overhang and fitted with wing doors for wind and spray protection. Still a popular yacht in spite of her age, resale values remain quite strong.
