BRIDGE, AFT DECK AND BOW WALK
You access the bridge from the aft deck, the ladder on the aft deck can be adjusted. You can have the foot of the ladder angled more into the aft deck or have it flush against the bulkhead allowing more room on deck. The transom is pretty unique: there are two-fold out chairs built into either side of the inside transom wall for interior cockpit seating, the cool part is the transom can open up and will split, allowing you to step out onto the swim platform and still utilize the side seats. You can take the table from the salon and eat a meal or just relax in comfort on the platform area. Mounted on each side on the transom is a Beneteau davit system carrying the boat’s hard bottom West Marine tender with Mercury outboard. The teak decking is in good condition, under the sole in the aft deck is the generator room. The generator is a generator in a sound shield with 1,012 hours on it.
Once on the bridge you can close the bridge hatch for safety. Forward on the bridge and starboard side is the upper helm with a canvas cover. The low-profile helm has a working color Raymarine hybrid touch, Volvo digital gauge, bow thruster joystick, Raymarine autopilot Lenco trim tad pad, RPM gauge, compass and Volvo engine shifters. Opposite is a seat *NOTE the seat cushions were showing their age, so they were replaced with throw pillows and cushions. Aft on the bridge is a large fiberglass storage box. The bridge has a bimini canvas top. The seller has also installed solar panels to keep the vessel’s batteries charged. The flybridge extends over both sides of the hull and covers the starboard walkway until the about midships. In midship, starboard side is the hull gate allowing easy boarding and the Captain’s helm door. Keep moving forward and up a couple of molded fiberglass steps and you are on the foredeck. At the bow is the Lewmar windlass and two anchor storage bins where you will find the hand remote for retrieving and dropping the boat’s anchor.
SALON, HELM AND GALLEY
As you enter through the starboard side door you immediately see the interior helm; the helm set up is very practical, especially for a single-handed Captain. When you enter the interior, you will also notice a comfortable, clean salon with a lot of natural light inside thanks to the large salon hull side windows, the tinted sliding glass pocket salon sliding doors and glass windshield. The salon has about 6’5” of head room. Starting at the helm, there is a double-wide helm seat with a bolster, you can sit at the helm or, if you prefer, you can stand. The helm wheel is a large hydraulic sailing boat wheel; under the helm is a footrest. The helm will open so you can access the back of the vessel’s electronics and wiring. For instruments you will see a large working color Raymarine Hybrid, Raymarine autopilot, the Volvo digital display, hour meter for the Volvo reading 2258 hours, fuel gauge, ship’s compass, ignition and joystick for the bow thruster, the trim tabs pad and engine levers. For communication you will have a Raymarine VHF.
The L-Shaped galley is to the port side with fair size countertop space. You will see two stainless steel sinks, cupboards under the countertop, pullout drawers and two separate fridges with ice boxes. For cooking you have a clean two-burner gas cooktop and a microwave. The sole in the salon and galley is a veneer wood finish. The wood throughout the boat is in very good condition, there are no water stains in the wood. Running down the salon on the port hull side is storage cupboard, the boat’s electrical panel, access to the salon AC unit, along with a flat screen TV. You will be able to open the port side salon window.
Another unique feature is the salon sofa. Each end of the sofa are pullout stools with storage, you can also pull out a larger center drawer and now you can convert the salon sofa into a pullout salon sofa bed. Another interesting feature is when the bed is put away and in the upright sofa position, you can move the sofa into the middle of the salon, lift the engine hatch in the sole behind the sofa giving access to the starboard side of the D6 Volvo and engine bay, along with access to the boat’s fire suppression system which was recently installed and certified. To get directly on top of the Volvo you access it through the center of the salon sole by pulling up the engine hatch. There is pretty good room in the engine bay. It is not a cluttered engine room, and it’s easy to access dipstick, filters, a few seacocks and the vessel oil changing system. The Volvo is a common rail, six-cylinder diesel, with rated 3500 RPM’s.
OWNER CABIN AND SPLIT BATHROOM
Forward of the galley and the lower helm on both sides just in front of the owner’s cabin are the head and the shower. The head has a solid sliding privacy door with a commode, sink, cupboards, mirror and port lights. On the opposite side is another solid door that will lead into a large comfortable stand-up fiberglass stall shower with a Teak seat. The owner’s cabin is forward with an inline bed. There is large storage under the bed and access to the forward cabin’s AC unit. The cabin has its own climate control. There are two closets. Both sides in the hull are port lights with pull-down blinds. The owner’s cabin also has a solid bifold door.
OverviewSeven Grand was built to cruise and is ready to go again with you. The fuel efficient D6 370 Volvo has many, many hours of service left in it and so does the generator.
