Accommodation & Layout

Standing dockside, the Viking 63' Widebody Motor Yacht is truly impressive. You know even before boarding this behemoth that the interior volume must be enormous. The forward-swept radar arch, aft-swept pilothouse windshield, and huge raked salon windows provide some architectural style.

Boarding the vessel is made easy by a Marquipt-style boarding staircase that can be attached at the port or starboard midship boarding gates. The large cockpit with full beam swim platform allows dinghy passengers easy boarding through the transom door. Once aboard, the forward deck, aft decks, and flybridge have stainless steel handrails and stanchionsfor safe passage around the yacht.

The aft cockpit boasts a long row of storage lockers for fishing, diving, or maintenance supplies. Other items include huge storage space in the lazarette, transom door to the swim platform, transom showers, and a ladder up to the raised aft deck. Two large sliding glass doors provide access to the grand salon. The full beam salon is enormous. Highlights include teak cabinetry, teak & holly sole, white vinyl overhead, and massive windows providing abundant natural light. Immediately to port aft is a light beige couch with a mahogany coffee table. Across to starboard is a pop-up 42" flat-screen TV and staircase up to the flybridge. The forward port salon has a round teak table with seating for five. There are also three bar stools located at the galley pass-through bar. The starboard forward salon has storage cabinets and a liquor locker.

Forward of the salon is the U-shaped galley. Highlights include granite countertops, new LED lighting, and tile flooring. A suite of Whirlpool and GE Profile appliances will allow a chef to prepare a basic meal or an elegant dining experience for all the guests on board.

Just ahead of the galley is the lower enclosed pilothouse. A control helm features two new Garmin 16" chart plotters, new Simrad autopilot, new Garmin VHF, and new engine instrumentation.

The central bench seat has abundant storage below and provides excellent 360º visibility underway. Port and starboard pilothouse wing doors allow quick access to the side decks for line handling midship or up on the bow. Bow items include wraparound stainless handrails; Lofrans windlass, forward bench seating, Bomar deck hatch, and fender brackets.

The flybridge can be reached by the starboard salon staircase. The upper deck can easily entertain multiple couples. Immediately forward are three ladder-back helm chairs. The central helm boasts all-new Garmin chart plotters, radar, Simrad autopilot, Garmin VHF, new spotlight, and new instrumentation. The forward hardtop and aft Bimini top provide much-needed shade on the hottest day. Moving aft port is a large L-shaped bench seat with a Corian pedestal table. Across to starboard is another bench seat with storage below.
All the way aft is the tender deck with a new Zar dinghy with a 25HP four-stroke outboard. There is also a Marquipt davit and enough room for additional water toys.

There is a second staircase in the aft salon that goes down to the master stateroom companionway. Immediately to port is access to the laundry room. This area has a workbench, storage cabinets, and a closet that is wired and plumbed for a stackable washer and dryer. Another door provides access to the stand-up engine room. The engine room is well-lit and has enough room to get on all sides of the engines.

Moving all the way aft is the master stateroom with island king berth. This grand cabin boasts huge hanging lockers to port. There are abundant storage cabinets and drawers. The sole is teak & holly. The overhead is white vinyl. The long row of mirrors reflects the natural sunlight from the sliding windows. Other features include reading lights, starboard settee, LED lighting, and an emergency escape hatch to the aft deck.

The forward companionway is accessed from the pilothouse forward staircase. All the way forward is the VIP stateroom with island queen berth. This cabin has its own head and shower, reading lights, large storage lockers, and a Bomar deck hatch. The two guest cabins aft of the forward companionway share a full head with separate shower stall. The port guest cabin has a double berth, porthole, hanging lockers, reading light, and teak wall coverings. The starboard guest cabin is presently being used for storage.
