Jupiter Fishing Report: 11/2/2018

Sailfish are biting from Stuart to Boca in the 150-300’ range, with a few boats releasing 10+ sails. Try kite fishing with hearty live baits like goggle-eyes or blue runners. Trolling with small feathers during lowlight should help you catch a few football-sized blackfin tuna, and the smaller ones can be used to catch wahoo, which has been hot due to this mild cold front, especially in the Bahamas. Fair numbers of snapper have been prevalent around 100’ off of Jupiter, with a few cobia here and there as well.
The cold front has slowed snook down a bit, but mullet are still running. Live mullet or top water plugs at low-lighted times of the day near bridges, Juno Pier, Jupiter Jetty, or Palm Beach Inlet should bring you some bites during outgoing tides.
The Juno Beach pier and the beach has been pretty sold, with lots of bluefish, large mackerel, jacks, runners, pompano, jacks, and redfish. Juno Bait recommends a Rapala X-Rap or Yo-Zuri Mag Darter for some solid action. Mangrove snapper have been feasting on live shrimp at the pier this week as well.
Friday, 11/2: Mostly Sunny with a 50% chance of showers, High of 86 degrees, South winds at 15-20 knots, 2-3’ seas at 4 second periods, Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.
Saturday, 11/3: Mostly Cloudy with a 40% chance of showers, High of 81 degrees, Northwest winds at 5-10 knots becoming northeast in the afternoon, 2’ seas at 4 second periods, Intracoastal waters a light chop.
Sunday, 11/4: Mostly Cloudy with a 50% chance of showers, High of 85 degrees, Southeast winds at 10-15 knots, seas 2-3’, , Intracoastal waters a moderate chop.
