Mike Ancona, Broker

Mike Ancona eats, sleeps, and breathes boats. Born and raised in Jupiter, Mike has been a boating enthusiast all his life. His father and uncles worked in the marine industry, so Mike got an early start and developed a true passion for boating at a very young age.

Shortly after graduating high school, Mike landed his first full-time mate position on a 95' motoryacht , traveling the Bahamas and the eastern seaboard. He later held the position of Service Manager and Corporate Captain for 6 years with a large brokerage firm in South Florida. He then began working as a Captain on several private motor yachts, travelling the Caribbean through New England, as well as Cabo San Lucas to Newport Beach on the West Coast. Mike has owned 20 different boats since the age of 12… and currently holds a USCG 200 Gross Ton Captain's License.

Today, he is a yacht broker with Waterfront Yacht Brokerage, one of the most trusted and well-respected names in the industry. Mike is eager to help sellers and buyers of boats/yachts and is involved in all aspects prior to, during, and after the sale. Mike believes the most rewarding aspect of his business is the trust he establishes with his clients, as well as the referrals he receives as a result of meeting his clients’ needs.

Reputation is most important to Mike because a strong industry reputation is predicated on consistently producing results. His reputation as a boating/yachting expert (onboard systems, construction, mechanics, etc.), along with his high ethical and professional standards, is what Mike takes pride in the most.

When not busy selling boats, Mike enjoys captaining yachts, and spending time with his wife, Diana, and their two children onboard their boat the “Contigo”.
